the discovery of an ufo in a dutch swamp. 19th live recording by marsh and decay.
We are redoing/changing the first 4 minutes (the part before the change of bassline) tried another bassline also.....someone else also thought the beginning was cliche and after focussing on it we agreed :) We came to measure 65 for now and next weekend we try some more :) A slow process sometimes. had another listen, for me the bassline stays too much the same, untill around 04.14 it shifts,... I would add interfering interests earlier on, so you could maybe even take the main bassline out, and get it back in again... the part at the end where the hihats etc go away, and there is not much besides the bassline and kickdrum, build some sort of tension, in a good way... from that " emptiness" you could go many ways... hoi hoi
Thanks. I am still not satisfied with this version because of the saw wave form but this was done with 4 hands and now I am trying with 2 but thats difficult. ;) Practice makes good. After this I intend to make a slower 150bpm empty acid track like "bring me the head of uwe boll"
Thanks for the comments. Old labworks :) I am higly influenced by labworks /overdrive from the 90's. I'm still trying to change some things to put more life in it.
ha, well done, could see this one coming from an old labworks, or even experimental record, if it needs any more, i would maybe add a little counter ufo attack around 4minutes, but must add that the tracks sounds correct so might wanna leave the counter attack up to the dj
