add tekno genre?

it should have it's own genre with it's subgenres like hardtek, acid etc. but i think techno is just a little too different from tekno anyway, thanx for looking after everybody's needs ^^

f**k me, I wanted to reply in the other topic where this popped up.... got all confused with the whole boxing music thing ! and erased all my words and decided to leave it for later ! then I saw it here again .... ok : as for me it has always been acid-tekno (since 92) then later came the hardcore and with the birth of the electribes and the likes ... the horrible frenchtek sound (my personal opinion) and then on and on with break this and that aaaaaaaargh !

I consider what I make to be acid tekno and have filed it under (techno) acid untill this moment.

For me there is a true difference between tekno, more rythm oriented where acidtekno is more monotone (not necessarily!) with the synths doing the thrick .. but then again ..... and so we can go on and on and on

I always find it limiting when people look at industrial, they miss out on my acid and vice versa .... but then agin, you need some kind of reference points (I'm so stoned I made up the word: hold-on-to-point , at first, then erased it when I thought of the brilliant word: reference

so, it';s time to stop I think :) I gues we can call it evolving when you're adding the genre tekno, and it's subs, I surely agree right now it is missing, when you see all other subgenres that are represented. Ok, over and out

you're right that acid was before tekno, and mostly tekno is associated as hardtek. Maybe it's not preferable in the line up of genres electrobel uses now. though i think tekno has become it's own genre so maybe you can ask other ppl to predominate for placing tekno as a (head) genre with subgenres grtz!

i added tekno as its own style. it will only appear once a track is submitted in it. you can change your tracks to another style with 'edit'.

anyone cares to make a description text for the style page?
