hi peopz i'm curious about who of you is taking his/her stuff live on stage? or who has ambitions to do it? i'm asking because first of all i'm interested in the live topic, have done a couple of lives myself in the last year. but also because in the near future i'd like to realize electrobel parties when there is enough enthousiasm and volunteers for it.

hi there, I do live sets, no pc, but always too many machines, style is sort of acid-tekno, I have done quite a few livesets now, still think it's fun to do and it will always be an amazing experience to hear your sound over a big sound system. So count me in ! And I think that Bruce (TDK records) loves to do live sets tooo...... Greets, Paul
yo i love to play live it gives you a great insight into how your music works its an instant feedback from the audience and it gives me great ideas for the next stuff i will make i played lots when i was back in the uk but only 1 time in a year of living in france electronic music still seems to be way too underground here (unless you sing)
:) When I am ready for gigging with my own productions. I want to do it live. Maybe in a sort of crew/band.
i played my first ever gig last friday, and it was awesome! Yet i was kinda getting bored standing there, sewing tracks together, smoking and drinking, behind the laptop. Now what WOULD get me more going, would be standing on the stage with more gear, and setting up something electronic, acid-ish, techno-ish, y'know. Was already planning to save lots of money, buy more small gear like drummachines and microcomposers, and then mount them all in this huge flight-case for easy carriege, and it'll look funny too. But on the other hand, i'd rather not play gigs every month, it grows me tired already :D

sewing tracks together? that's hardly a live set, is it?
newyears eve : certain guy was gonna do a live set, instead he compiled a short playlist of tracks he made, started the pc, hit play, and went away..... halfway I had to tell him the interaction was missing, and we stopped this bad joke..... but who can blame them for thinking they do live sets.... .... there are hardly any real live sets anymore, and when every laptop act calls themselves a live act when all they do is play their tracks.... so, all analog warriors with your trucks full of machines, come on out, and play and show everyone there's another way ..... :) live your life alive
I have the ambition but I havn't got a complete set yet and still figuring out my sequencer :)

we should introduce the 'stage police': if you're faking it, they pull the plug

Then You have to watch tim exile with his laptop. He is a good example of a good real live set with 'just' a laptop.
