Circuit bent DR-202

i got a lot of usefull info to get me started over here

although i don't think that it's a very good idea to start with a boss DR-202 though ... you're goin' to fuck it up anyway, no mather what ... so does everyone else on his 5 first projects. i started off with a casio tonebank (you know, the kinda stuff you buy for your little nefew's birthday...)

right now, i'm rebuilding a Casio MT-800. (well, at least i'm trying hard :))) ... first impressions of sounds, you can hear over here

ow jah, one last tip before you start getting that 'soldeerbout' out ... if the machine starts smoking, ... it usually is a rather suspicious signal ;)

Did you take a look at the picture? The machine is allready circuit bent... what i want to do is to replace the patch-wires by some kind of switch-board, where i don't need to do the bending myself... what i need is some info about the parts mormaly used for the switches or potis or whatever they are called... what material is there normally used... fabricant, name of the parts... etc.

But thanx allready for the infos you gave me, when i got time i think i'll try to bent one of my nefews playpianos...

yeah, i did ... and as far as the visual aspect is goin', it seems one hell of a lovely machine (would really like to hear it though :))) what i meant was that, if you plan on installing a switchboard, you're also planning to design some sort of a step-sequencer to match, right? (i assume, 'cause you said you don't like to do the patching)

wellnow, installing a step-seq., even in it's most basic form, is forcing you to basically resold every connection made. that also means you can forget 'bout the plastic case that holds it right now, cause you're goin' to need one hell of a lot of space to install the (at least 16) buttons to controll the thingie, and then we're not even talking 'bout aestetics.

hey so i purchased some kids toys (1 with a bear that when u touch him he tells which part of him it is...then one mini synth : haha it's called SIMBA...and another thing that i couldn't managed to get working coz someone left the old batteries in too long and everything's like corosed)

by the way how do you get the corrosion off and do you think that there are some bending possibilities with these toys???

ive been bending toys for ages they are really simple to mess with put your fingers on resistors until the pitch rises (only if its running on batteries)  then replace it with a veriable resistor i dont know anything about the dr-202 though

i have a yamaha dd-10 that id like to bend ive made a start but can only find 1 resistor that changes anything it just does a messed up noise then stops anyone got any ideas?

where u put your fingerz? i'm really new at this...gonna open the synth today and check how it's in the inside but where do you put your fingerz? :p
