General discussionso, again a new Radiohead cd anyone heard it yet?
For all I can say I think they really (again) reached a higher level at the electronic part.. I just love it. The beatwork in '15step', the crazy percussion effects in the beautiful and little minimalistic 'Videotape' and the distorted bassline in 'All I need' that reminds me of 'Roybiv' from BoC.
Because of the song 'Weird Fishes/Arpeggi' you can also see imo that they still pown in regular popsongs. The structure and build-up is really awesome, followed by that sort of silence that says more than any sound ever.
Also notice that a some of the songs which at first listen just seem more like these stupid songwritingshizzlingpopsongs with cheesy lyrics are really produced in masterly fashion(as usual). As in the (maybe too) subtle percussion in the background on 'House Of Cards' and also (as in almost all their last cd's) crazy sound-effects which regular listeners don't even hear. That's why it's eventhough it sounds like your average popalbum, it's really interesting for producers.
I'm not getting paid for this but you can download the cd at your own price on their site.

Yes sir indeed.Glad they didnt change there style that much.Its so pure Radiohead stuff. Hey ezepees,you have the Thom Yorke cd? thats something you got to have. I think its called the Eraser (?) And I still got a KID A poster wich you can have if you want.
yes offcourse, the eraser rocks, in an electronic way.. and Kid A y know... I really think it's their best album and that's why I think you should keep it :p allthough I am flattered
didnt listen to it enuff yet to give a godo opinion.. but yeah i think they did it again!! for me they remain the most adventurous rock band. they deliver quality music cd after cd after cd after... they keep re-inventing theirselves. if they'd bring out 5 albums tomorrow, I'd sure buy them instantly, without listening in the shop first. that's so great about Radiohead, you know it's ALWAYS good : )
for me Nude (nice groove, beautiful violin part, and the vocal-harmonies by yorke !!), Reckoner and Videotape jump out of the new album.. but i have to listen a couple of times more, just downloaded it..
i hope it will be in shops soon, cause i want the cd version hehe ! :)
for me it really is weird fishes and videotape, geeeeniaal. I think the album will be released in the beginning of 2008 But what I really hope is that when they go on tour I won't have to go to F*cking werchter of sth to see them
I love the new album...the reckoner is amazing... and what about amnesiac? it's actually my fav album, but it doesn't get the attention it should get imo. anw the new album is truely great (i got the eraser too, listened to it non stop for a couple of months.) cheerz! phollox
yeaa! the experimental side of amnesiac is great.. it was from round the same time of kid A it seems to me a sort of sequal to kid A. ♥ like spinning plates Wew I'm running over all their past 4cd's the last few weeks, first time since a year and a half.. it's still pownage

Yesterday was the first time I gave the whole album a decent listen.. And I'm impressed, like always with Radiohead. Reckoner's my favourite so far, that track feels like diving in the water on a hot summer day; freshness, redemption and a soothing state of mind, all in one song.. Amazing. And of course, the technical blabla is pretty amazing too ;)
