MP3 tagging
General discussionThis tool automatically tags your mp3's so that your songs can easily be identified by mp3 players, media players and so on.
It works incredibly well, it does matching with audio signature, name, length, etc. When a song is not immediately identified, you can choose from a list of close matches and if that doesn't work you can look it up in an online database and automatically add the tag which you believe is correct (you need to create an account for that, but there don't seem to be any hidden catches). the databases are very well documented.
I wouldn't post this if I wasn't convinced that this is an incredible tool! and it's for free!

i use it everyweek to tag my files, but unfortunately half of them or not on the database yet.. (and im too lazy to add them all) ;) but nice indeed.
then after a couple of month they send you a bill for all the mp3s you have ^^

I've been ripping my entire CD-collection to mp3 and trust me, I've compared this tool to Windows Media Player, Musicmatch Jukebox Plus (for which you have to pay) and Itunes and I've found it to be much better.
ofcourse this works best for officially released albums...

and so easy. wirg itunes or other soft you have to tag them yourself, write the name, track blabla. here the soft recognize the track and you just click on a button and everything is done. i told you i was lazy.

i just use CDEX :)
i tell it to check cddb for the names, does it, rips them with the file naming i want, and writes the tags like i want :)
- it's free :) and it can use the lame mp3 engine or any other dll you tell it to :)
