i know that this thread allready exists...sorry i couldn't find it. anyhoo...i think that it would be a really good idea that people wouldn't be able to vote thumb down without explaining why... like the moment they vote thumb down an extra window would open and ask why did they voted like that... 'cause i mean it's very easy to push on the button etc. but hard to explain why... the times i wanted to vote thumb down but couldn't explain why... i just didn't vote... we're all here to exchange the things that we know on music etc. and to help each other i think... 8) thanx for your time...

indeed already discussed ...

summary :

Voting = saying if you liked the song or not ... it is something completely subjective ... i mean i like blue, some people like red ... it's that simple. And everyone is allowed to vote.

Otherwise you have the comment + favorite option, and that's reserved to members.

It's just to have a personnal feedback on what the 'audience' thinks of your track.

note that the amount of thumbs up or down you'll get will be influenced by the category you put your song in and the description

(If you put a noise track in the electro section, people will listen to it thinking it's electro, and most probably won't like noise....)

a song can be really good technically but not liked ...

i personnaly don't like System Of a Down's new album, even though technically it's good.

so i'd vote thumbs down, whereas some people would vote up ...

so the vote doesn't reflect the technical quality of the track but the overall ...

like i said, either you like something or you don't. if you not sure, you dont vote :)

the vote system obviously doesn't mean anything when only 5people vote .. but hopefully with a better flashplayer, more people would vote , and that number would really start to mean something.

i had a few days ago a feedback from a fuck*.* guy who only wants to [i don't know what]…

here is the message :

you must stop to make song man ! it's soooooooooooooo bad !!!

As i start trying to produce recently, i know my work isn't as it has to be or as i want it to be… but i try and day after day my work becomes better…

My question is simple : is it possible to delete this kind of feedbacks that are very useless… i respect people who don't like what i try to do… but when they tell me why… This one doesn't help me in anyway…

I appreciate 'negative feedbacks' but when they are objective in their subjectivity (!!!)…

I'll never have any problem when feedbacks are like : 'Sorry, I don't like because… I thing you had to try to… etc.'… never…

but the stupidity of this teenager bored me…

yeah i think i saw that one in the logs ....

i don't really have time to program for ebel at the moment, because i have big exams soon...

but once they done with i'll re-open a suggestion thread and work on some features to make life on ebel better for everyone.

(though i'd be easier if everyone was tolerant and mature)

No use to delete comments from other users.. you'll always have people who give immature and useless comments.. fuck 'em !

If they really start to harras you, zark can delete their account, i guess.. or you can send hired goons to their house and take 'em down ;)

Every producer has to start somewhere.. just keep it up! d

Agreed! Comments like those, reveal more about the author's personality than the song itself... no need to pay attention to them. Like 4Eyez said, take your time to explore. It's not only about writing good songs, but also about getting a decent production quality done...and it takes a long time before one really gets experienced in that.
