Assumptions and goals: Making a track takes much time and energy. Commenting, and definitely voting, doesn’t. But what one expects from a comment doesn’t always corresponds with what people are willing to provide. That's where a discussion comes in handy. **If ** everyone is reasoning for the common good at least. Therefore: no examples of how it shouldn’t be (definitely no names of 'wrong people'), but instead a kind of philosophy about **what YOU find important ** when you're commenting or voting. I think we should put more focus on the fact that we share some of our passions. This community is built on some great ideas, but I’m sorry to note that not everyone takes the time to fully appreciate them. So take you’re time to be constructive. I will have to do some thinking too before I really write my own opinion on this subject. Some hints: Describe one idea in an orderly and clear fashion, use a lot of easy words to describe ‘the essence’ and keep in mind that we’re working up to a consensus. And don’t address your ideas to me (or whoever you dislike) but to the general public (in this case: ebel’s users). Thanks!
To me the actual voting system is ok... Even if I have one or another negative I'm not going to jump out the window... A positive vote... the listener like the song A negative vote...the listener didn't like it... for his very own reasons
I appreciate a lot, that there are lots of people around here that leave really constructive Comments... which sometimes give real good ideas to make things better... and sometimes just give another point of view... thats the reason-to-be (raison d'etre?) of these commenting and voting feature... I like it how it is!
the whole point behind the yes|no vote is just so that public can give their overral appreciation of the track.
i mean either you like, or you don't. You don't always know why you dislike something, but you know that you just do.
people could dislike a song for several reasons, it could Not be what they expected ( reasons: bad description, wrong music genre...), or the song could just be bad ....
Anyway, the general public can vote, meaning that hopefully they'll be enough votes to actually reflect the reality of your track, and won't be affected by personal vendetta's.

so if people klik it,they get what they want
if you klik experimental,ya never know what ya gone get,micro-house,minimal
if ya klik techno,ya get trance and jumper stuff these days
not to speak of the 4(1/2) songs a day poster types
but thats a other prob,other isue
big,up zark,again
you know...I've tried to get a discussion going about the voting system some time ago. Didnt help much...but now, I've just reached a point where I stopped caring about it...if the majority of votes are positive (or vice-versa) you can make some good deductions, but those one or two votes "against" are not worth the attention, unless they give you some constructive feedback. Like ZARk puts it: hopefully there are enough votes to give a representative view of the overall appreciation of your song...that's it. For the rest, check out the constructive comments and try giving some yourself (I'm speaking in general).
There's this kind of proverb that says: the people get the regime they deserve. Though I dont agree with this for many reasons (generalisations are always ambivalent), it does hold some truth in certain cases...
Most sayingz hold the truth... good you came to the point of not caring. There's always gonna be people not liking you (or me!) and vice versa... If your music comes from heart&soul, why bother critics or bad votez in this case?
When i don't like a song, i just close the player and don't even take the time 2 vote.
dont think about votes,concentrate on music,and improve,those votes will soon follow;
any system will have benefits,advantages,bugs,misconceptions;
best way to change anything,is too show some example,on the comment section,and participate;and not the stalker type,or the i know it all type,some un-experienced people-audiance-users,have often the best feedback, and dont speak,of wich you dont know nothing about(you get exposed anyway,someday) ,but dont hold your mouth either;its a balance that ya need and have to find!!!
also a tip,just my vision,if i hear a bad song,of a user,and he posts several songs in a short piriod,i'm not that motivated,to klik his new material;if ya think for a minute,that ceveral other artist,post good stuff to listen,that ya know 80% out of earlier work was great,you klik them!!
its just human nature,see it like bying records,you walk to the shelves,to the labels,that ya know that are good,the rest is for time-killin in our case;
so the moral of the story is,to get votes,get listeners;
to get listeners>do- 1 post aceptable songs(that are already screened by you&co) -2 participate on comment forum,in a non-compulsive way
i'm just beeing honost,sew me;and i dont want to be the moderator,sure i want e-bel to get better;
but i know,that some people dont feel comfortable in here anymore,so 1 advice to close things;
we are in in here,in this ...together,lets make the best out of it

This could be the perfect speach for a new bazz luhrman track! There some truth in it. I guess the site got a mayor boost at the beginning of september! That's the result.
