remix an Electrobel User

You must have noticed that we had a cleansweep of most of the copyrighted material here on electrobel. The Remixes section should now be free of samples that shouldn't be used. There are nevertheless still songs that aren't in the Remixes section that also contain explicit copyrighted material. If you should stumble upon such a song... be so kind to report it.
As the Remix section has been decapitated, downsized and annihilated it is time to make it rise again.
We can fill it up again - easily!!!
Just ask to remix a song of an electrobel user... Maybe not the easiest way to show you like or dislike a song but...whether you like it and want to make atribute to it by giving it some rework... or you dislike it and think: I can do better...
If you want a song of you reworked you can place your add here... Nobody wanting to remix your music can be a negative experience so don't go throwing yourself in...
Or you can search for artists that explicitly live by the common rights licence and allow to remix their music as long as you don't use it in a comercial way..
Give the Remix page a new elan...
A remix contest of a couple of songs here on ebel is an idea mentionned before and could be a good starting point. I'd propose to have three songs open for remixing by three different users in three different genres. That should attract "some" people - cuz' remixing isn't the easiest way to make music even although you get some material "as a present"...
Other ideas to give this section a revival are welcome.

good job reaman... i was just thinking that for electrobel3.0 it might be a good idea to have a "remix this" section, where electrobel users can upload sample packs of ebeltracks. integration with other creative commons remix sites could be an intresting thought. a good example would be http://ccmixter.org/ ( as is mentioned in the yellow pages)
n(^ù^)° likes that. Almost every tune under nEUROLAND can be remixed. One is already remixed by BpOlar and lorsen. I did the same with their remixes. The lorsen(^ù^)BpOlar OOO™ band was created on purpose… (almost all the songs of this project can be remixed also…). Let's enjoy ! n(^ù^)°

ever checked out www.magnatune.com ? - they have songs for remixing also - sometimes under the CClicence...
and ofcourse there is www.acidplanet.com but those are artists you can only post your remix on the Sony aciplanetpage...
i do have songs with movie quotes in 'em. do they have to be removed as well?
