i need some help here.  I made a shitload of patches this week in various synths. They're all wobbles (dubstep/d&b shit) and complex pads. I made those patches so i would be able to make some tracks very quick in the future, but since i made them on like 10+ different synths i want to multisample them. once multisampled it will also be easier for me to layer my samples without eating too much cpu and ram, and if i finish enough tracks samples will be easier and more cpu friendly when used in a live (laptop) enviroment.

Anway

I tried multisampling my patches using directwave (image line) and highlife (the free disco dsp sampler). Both are easy to use, i just had to select the vst, then the patch, and those samplers automaticly record all samples and map them to the right keys.

Only problem i have now is that i can only use the same project tempo as the one those samples were created in. If i change the project tempo my wobbles go completely out of sync, and that sucks. Maybeye i want to use some wobbles for a drum and bass song, and a few days later the same sample for a dubstep tune...

So my question is: does anyone know a sampler that keeps track of the tempo, and timestretches my loops when i change the tempo.  If it does not exist: what else can i do?

I do the same: make samples with vst's export them as wavs so I can quicly make songs later on using them in ableton this also makes it easy to form an idea what to make next: using those breaks with those basses wil sound awesome! (for example)

soit

use ableton!

you don't want to timestretch your baselines for future tracks, because you'll have digital distortion (which is acceptable for live, but not for productions). the best way to solve the problem is to record the baselines without the lfo-filter (wobble), and to recreate the lfo-filter in the sampler you use  (the standard ableton live sampler has good filter/amp/pitch possibillities). you can sync the lfo of the sampler to the master tempo, and you original sound won't need to be stretched.

thx for the quick replies, i think i will switch to ableton and load my samples there. Too bad tho that i can't record with the wobble, i made some patches that use a lot of fx behind the fiter. For example 1 wobble in massive uses the scream filter and some tubes behind it. i guess i will sample most, and use vst's for the ones that can't be sampled accurate.
