Okay.. i was last night @ PRintemps ExtraLarge to enjoy the live by LL321 and the mixing talents of Kim (33rpm) ... as usual i have my little pile of flyers to give around to members of the scene .. i see bogusman last night, i give him a flyer, couple of seconds after he's sitting next to me asking me loads of question (i love enthusiasm) and he emitted an idea which actually is really good ... is to do a kinda e-bel presentation ...
So my idea would be to rent a room in bxl, and do 3 presentation each @ different times (one in english, french, dutch).
ASAP would be nice as exams are soon over and most pple aren't on holiday yet ....

what do ya mean with presentation????
a showcase ... explanations on what is electrobel ... the aim .. etc...
I don't think there will be a lot of people attending this presentation ZARk... even sounds a bit boring to me. I think we'd better make ourself clear on the internet and react on people's quastions and threads.
My personal idea is to make an on line presentation in powerpoint (music + images)/ or a little movie where we explain the purpose of Electrobel. The internet is the ideal way of communicating with people, we can post this movie/presentation on other forums and people can spread the word.
Just do'nt believe someone from Bruges is gonna come to BXL for a simple presentation...
yeah I also think it's kinda weird to do such a thing. we need to SPAM SPAM SPAM !!!! :) I have a idea but I doubt it will be doable. suppose we could contact one of studio brussel guys who have a alternative radioshows at night . for example Luc Jansens (Select). and let someone go overthere and play some (alternative) tunes from the e-bel people and give info about the e-bel project. I don't think you can get better publicitie then that. but it's a very unlikely idea :(

You van always send a mail to sudio brussel of course... but then I'd focus on a program such as Switch, it has lots of electronic music lovers listening to it. Perhaps Radio21 will do the same for our French speaking compadres :D

If you need some attention from press and magazines then I think this is a really good idea... but I don't think there are gonna be many individuals...
But about the press and magazines, I think it's needed that electrobel get some serious attention from them, cos I guess this is the first site in belgian history that can offer so many services to the belgian music scene...
You all know whoich magazines / radio stations and others are good to contact...

that's not quite true man, just look at all the forums where people can share music or where you can upload your tracks to. I think allot of mainly electronic musicians hang out on the net.

i sent a couple of mails around to editors but not many replys :( i'll have to insist more soon ...
Just keep up the good work and you'll get the attention from the 'media' soon.
In Switch, they sometimes do small interviews with DJ's or artists, but they always mix it with audio fragments from the artists latest album...
E.g. this week there was an interview with the organiser of the City Parade.
Maybe you can mix some e-bel songs (with a tool like Traktor) and send it to Switch (and others of course). All you'd need is about 5-10 minutes...
Otherwise we can stil SPAM all the music related forums in Belgium! :P
