Use the fruity peak controller to automate the volume of something else: you can insert a fruity balance in the track you want to compress and automate that volume. i wouldn't automate the volume slider itself as that makes it harder to mix

Yeah man, put a fruity frequency key on your fruity track to make fruity sound impulsion with your fruity volume slider
Use FL 7, it's got a sidechain template using efxchannels 1 & 2. i always use this template to start any song now
