Chase Mixes 07 + 08

Little event on Chase Records with 2 mixes (Chase Mix 07 and 08 ). Those 2 mixes are released together cause they were done buy two Danish sisters, now living in France : Demon Kitty and DJ Helliza. The first one gaves us a rich Gabber, Doomcore, Hard Techno, Acid mix set while the second shows us her skills with 3 decks on a 2 hours Techno – Transcore set.

Here are the bios of those 2 great artists, unfortunately almost never seen on the big parties…. Demon Kitty : I was born in Roskilde (Denmark) 29 years ago. I fell into music at the age of 12 with Cure “Disintegration”. I later discovered harder sounds with such bands like Ministry or KMFDM and everything you could think of about industrial and metal After a White Zombie concert I decided to form my own band, in which I was a guitarist Anger Power (the name of my band) started to give concerts but one day it has suddenly stopped because of a car crash. My left hand was broken and I couldn’t play the guitar anymore. I was far into despair. Then, as I was staying in Germany for my work, a colleague of mine took me in a Techno Hardcore party (Resident-E). This was my second musical birth I couldn’t imagine that such power could be created with two records played together Back in Denmark, I bought some decks and started working the art of mixing I especially like dark sounds combined with strong rhythms I live now in Paris where I work. Hip-hop is stronger in France than Techno! but from time to time I go in venues such like le Rex ou le Gibus to listen to good sound I hope you’ll enjoy my sound ! DJ Helliza : My name is Helliza, I was born in Denmark on the 11th of march, 1978. Thanks to my sister (Demon Kitty), I got interested in Techno music. She taught me to play with her decks. My other spiritual guide is my friend Lasse Steen (great Danish composer) with who I have played in small Danish clubs. He has brought me to acid sounds ! I have played a lot some quite dark Acid Trance. I play now more industrial sounds, still at mid-tempos. I collect all vinyl’s from the early 90’s. It’s soon 7 years that I came in France to study les Beaux-Arts in Paris. I have played in free parties around Paris.
