Note concerning my tracks

Dizzy, maybe I was a little bit hard in my review of your "Vanilla coca". Let me explain my comments.

I think only he result is important, not the tool you're using. Euh..., I don't fully agree on that one. You're right, the tool is not important at all, but it's the way you use the tool. The result is important but doesn't justify for instance to sample big parts of somebody elses music.

If I receive many replies implicating that I don't belong here, I'll remove all the songs I've posted and leave the community. I didn't imply that you don't belong here at all and I apologize if I gave you that impression. I enjoyed most of your posts and don't want you to leave this community. Why would you? I'm even looking forward to your future postings.

Not everyone can own an expensive material and software for creating music. (I am currently trying fruity loops, wich is more complex to use than ejay, but the dunctionnalities of the programs, even though they are much better, are quite similar). As you said before, the tool is not important at all.

The bottom line is: Maybe I was a little bit hard in my comments but I just wanted to say that, now that you've prooven that you can "arrange", I'd like to see you move on and make your own samples.

Fruity Loops is a big step up in my opinion. Just experiment a little bit with the "Generators" add some VST plugins or buzzmachines.

Maybe I forgot the time that I was messing around with "Octamed" on my Amiga?

Dizzy, your tracks are OK and you're welcome in our community ! don't leave us ! we all spent time playing around with sample based sequencers, i even still have my old old mp3's made with four "magix music maker 3" loop samples ! Of course you didn't put each note on the track, but i know you make your tracks with skill and passion, and for me it is the only things that matter.

It takes quite a long time to get all the material and software to make fully-created music, and the first trials are always disappointing, we never get the sound we want when we begin. I have the same feelings, i know i'll never be perfect nor professionnal as Eddie, Churchill, Revo or LightWorks, but i'm working on it ... but i'm off topic right now.

I just would like you to stay and go on posting new tracks ! if i could help you getting some progz just PM me.

I was not hurted, well not really, by your comments, I really wante to state that, as it is written on my profile, I only have one software.

Concerning the vanilla thing, I used the same guitar sample because it fitted correctly in the song. I know I could have used some variations in the guitar...but I thought, even though the song isn't great (far from it), it's just a fun tune, that sounds like most latin tack we can hear on radios, and it took me one hour to make, it was some sort of amusement.

I've already made some things with fruity loops, but it's too awful to post here :-)

I do want you guys to comment songs if they inspire you something of course. So I'll keep the comment box checked each time I post a song here. It's part of the fun of posting tracks here. The feedback is always welcome.

I do personally take criticisms well as long as they are constructive. It's true that I never had a killing critic here.

My dream would be to make music as diverse as my musical tastes actually are. Alas, I am no musician, my only real "talent" (if one can call such a thing like this) is my musical "ear" and I would like to be able to produce a great piece of music containing both electronic components and real instruments.

But I really wanted to say one thing, the samples contained in the prg are not music in itself. They mainly consists of loops, battery, guitar, and the like. OF course it's not creating something out of nowhere...that will come l8er, as you both wrote, it takes time and patience (and money, even though Iperfectly know there are other ways to get the software, I just don't want to)

As you have already heard, I try to make different musical genre each time, it's part of the fun I have and reflects my musical tastes ( from Radiohead to old genesis, from Miles Davis to Flaming lips, etc.)

So, I misanderstood a bit your comment, and I am sorry for that. No need to apologize, but we had some explanations and now things are clearer ;-)
