Hi Ebel People!

Now, it's almost three months i am on Second Life, that wonderful Virtual World... Not so virtual tho... :-) Planets Citizens are doing fine there as some other people. I have two shops and a club house. You can listen to the PC music, received infos, join the group, play live in so many places and for all the planet. I've learned how to deal with audio and video. I've learned how to sale your music. I've learned how to deejay live. I've learned how to rent a server for streaming. And it's dam cheap.

For a musician or a dj, it's clear you can move in that world! There's a real interaction between Real Life (RL) and Second Life (SL)

I'm there with Cyberpiper who has a WONDERFUL place for organizing live events and parties! He asked to manage his Aphrodites Temple Music Club. It means i have to find Deejays, live musicians, story tellers, and so on... So i created a group named Planets Citizens Art. It will become a kinda Agency for music people. I also manage this group in full cooperation with a english deejay. we have real opportunities. You can also earn a bit of lindens (local currency) and even transfer it on your real bank account. At the beginning, don't dream, you can't buy a castle in Scotland. But step by step, i can say you can work there too. For an example, I've been hired to make a jingle for a malaysian company, for deejaying, and to play live. I met a lot of people from all over the world including brilliant musicians and singers. What about a "www.electrobel.sl" ? :-)

So, i'd really like Ebel people join the group because there will be a lot of activities in the following weeks. mainly the Cyberpiper's Temple Grand Opening at the 4-5-6 of may.

  1. What do we need?
  • dejays who can play and stream from their house using a dj software as Winamp or SAM Broadcaster. Each deejay have to play for two hours. it's a regular set. What style? Everything you like and you're specialized in. but keep in mind you play for a party. :)
  • musicians who can play their stuff live using the same tools.
  • story tellers : people who can tell stories in english, dutch or french. Stories of your own or not. Any kind :)
  1. What do u need?
  • register on SL (www.secondlife.com). It's free. Just download the prog, register, choose an avatar and log in. First you will be sent on main info island. there you will learn how to move and how to use SL. A kind of tutorial.
  • have a streaming software as Winamp or SAM Broadcaster(the best in the world!) and a internet connexion able to send a 128 kbps stream. You don't need to have your own server!!! Most of the clubs have their own and i have special prices with a company renting good servers, even for 1 hour. very cheap. Of course, when you stream in SL, people outside can tune in if they have the url.... see what i mean? ;-) What about duplex parties SL-RL??? :-)) We are organizing it.
  • customize your avatar : we will provide free avatars, equipment and stuff to make you go faster than I when I started. :) We will also give you a free TipJar (it's the thing where people can give you tips and money by clicking on it).
  1. Contacts
  • Msn & email : alexei.baumont@hotmail.com
  • SL infos : Alexei Beaumont (be) - Geaven Gall (asia) - Raven Skall (uk) So send me an email if u are interested to play as musician, deejay or whatever. Please do not ask me quick answers here because i'm swimming in an ocean of work. Prefer the mail or msn.
  1. A Guided tour for Ebel people An SL tour will be organized in the few days to come for the Ebel people. It means that we, geaven and me, will make you discover that fabulous world. we will give a lot of free stuff for you to start. But it could be better for you to register first, choose a name (try to choose one related to your name here), choose an avatar and learn a bit before so we can spare time.

  2. Ebel people already having an avatar on SL

  • Zark
  • Liquidbass
  • Cyberpiper
  • Planets Citizens

Join in!

more to come....

I'm not able to play life and it seems a busy job to keep up with the life on SL... My life here is stressy enough to have another one. Spend more hours on my laptop than I' want to so I'll pass ... maybe I'll register just to come to the SL parties you're organising... :D

I'm intrigued, but I don't know if I can stream a two hour set from my home pc. Can't I just record a set and send that to you?

I still hate it, but you have to admit: Someone was raped in game and the police force in real life is opening an investigation due to the trauma the real life person had due to the rape. Apparrently, therapy and all.

Is it just me or is there something wrong with people getting traumatised due to a computer game rape when it's 30 degrees full sunshine outside? Hell, if you must get raped, enjoy the weather and do it IRL.
