Edirol FA 66 ou M-Audio Firewire 410

personally i boycott m-audio ....

because of their lack of proper drivers.

i'd go with the edirol for just that reason

personaly i follow ZArk, drivers of the M audio audiophile usb are big shit for XP, the rest i cant help ya. Dont know if its the same price category, but i bought the terratec phase 88 and im very pleased, 360€ at musicstore Kholn

i've heard good things about the edirol. it's a competition for the terratec phase 88rack according to sound on sound (i doubted a bit between those 2, but then i got away with the ultralite ==> if 2 soundcard fight for a user, the 3'd soundcard gets bought :)) )

Me too, I once bought a m-audio firewire AP and it never worked properly (on 3 different systems...).

300€ back then in the waste bin.

I've got the Edirol FA-101, so the big sister of the FA-66... It just rocks ! Never had a problem, wether with the line inputs/outputs, the XLR inputs with fantom alim for mikes, or the instrument input with a guitar. Roland quality ! Nice and small, I use it with a laptop and you can carry all your stuff in a backpack 8)

Im a M-audio user... and it suck ! Just boycott M-audio ! Thats for sure material you will change one day...

ok i think it's clear ! i have the UA 25 from edirol for the moment. it's suck big time because of the power supply via the usb port who pass trought the analogic section and make some really disturbing high interference. especially when i play in a party with a stinky soundsystem. so i'll go firewire... If i had the money i'll take the ultralite for sure... thanks for yours advices
