I received this letter recently. What it basically says is that you can get €1500 to do some project, preferably musical, that brings young people in contact with culture. Oh, and you have to be a student in Antwerp.
I am a student from Antwerp, so if anyone wants to join me, be my guest. Of course, you can do it by yourself if you're scared of me...

No, there's ways to get this in every province. I received 3000 euro and I'm in Brussels. And there are multiple facets of it, experimenteel jeugdwerk etc., they're trying to push youth (broad sense, -26 to 12 years old) into the cultural world. Good thing.
I can start giving links and info but it's rather longish. If you want explanations just contact me directly, I'm giving infosessions for free in this kind of thing (having to send links and answer questions on the net every time is getting tedious :))
This is just a regional 'tak'. Vlaamse Overheid pushes a lot more.

yeah, i know, but still... it's a good initiative, and €1500 is quite a lot of money...
what exactly do you need to do to get this? being a bedroom producer prolly isn't enough hu?
Like I said, there's really a LOT to be said on the matter.
If you have projects oriented for youth, you can get this type of funding. Concerning producers and experimental work, there is now 'experimenteel jeugdwerk'. That is how I got 3000 euro to include more young people in my projects.
It's a lot of info to fill in and look into so if you really think you're going to give it a shot just contact me, I can give you the links to the word documents to fill in.
There's so many ways for getting funding. Bringing out a cd can get funded, all international trips get funded, etc.
