I'm searching quite some time on the internetz for how to get that kind of uplifting bass.. There are a lot of plugins/tutorials for typical raw and dark basslines, but that's the opposite of what I want. So far, I haven't found anything (maybe that bass has a name?). Doesn't need to be wobbly.
Good examples are Artificial Intelligence, Logistics, London Elektricity, ... Check the Hard To Beat remix by LE :-) http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=52424910 Euphoric pads are welcome too! :p
That bass in Londen Elektricity's "hard to beat LE remix" is a wobbly bass imo. Anyway it is a sine wave with an lfo and lp filter on it, perhaps even two and one piched down a very tiny amount so you'd get some more wobble.
Vsti's with sine waves are plentyfull, you will find them everywhere, but i do suggest the "toxic III" in witch you can easly control the lp filter with the lfo to get the woblle. Indeed dnb isn't allways about the wobble, so a regular sine wave can do the trick.
P.S. Old , funky or jazzy samples work fine too, preferably "double basses" contrabassen enz....
I often make raw synths, then cutoff filter, then some EQ-ing
does the job most of the time...

However, I've encountered an other problem.. Toxic won't load in FL. In an other host like TobyBear it works fine, but I can't import it into FL, same with lots of other vst's. :/

Wierd... Yeah like gonzo said, toxic was made by image line, the makers of fl studio, although mine didn't came with toxic but that doesn't matter. I can't help you with this. Anyways good luck trying to fix it :d cheers
You have to buy it seperately. With the latest installer you can choose to install the demo version of toxic.
And I have to agree, toxic is a very nice synth. I personally think it strikes a perfect balance between ease of use and soundpotential.
edit: if you just need to layer a sinewave though, you can just load up 3xOSC and set it's waves to sine. it's much more cpu efficient and sounds just as good, it makes very good subbasses
Dont use sines for this sound, it will be too undefined. For a good full sub its best to use saw waves, maybe with some saturation or very, very mild distortion, just to get the harmonics more beefy. Then lowpass them until the screechy sound has gone and you're left with alot of sub. It will sound way phatter than sinewaves because the harmonics are more defined.
have fun ;-)
Damn I feel stupid, the reason why most vst's didn't load was because I didn't tag the box next to there names in Channels.. :-D So typical. Anyway I tried all of your hints and I feel enlightened. Many thanks! :-)
