Scape could you eventually take care of the line up?? im at work and i m goin home cause im fuckin sick, and i dont have the net at home at the moment so i wont be able to take care of it this week, i ll have the net back at the end of the week... Justa  few ideas for the next one: a big ebel banner for outside so peoiple in the street can SEE  where the party is, some posters inside where the concept of the party would be written on it... and some small colored lights if someone got that?

hey guyz ... don't want to be the party-pooper here, but i think we should really consider looking for another location then the one we've got @ rue royale. I don't know where nor when the idea of turning electrobel-parties into squat-parties saw the light, but we should ask ourselves if 1/ this is the kind of parties we want to throw (and thus get identified with) and 2/is this the kind of public we want to attract. If so (whitch is fine with me) we need ppl of our own, solely in charge of security (meaning ppl only there to make sure nothing happens, not artists who are keeping an eye on things, but when it turns nasty, duck under the nearest table to hide). I've been throwing squatparties for about 10 years now, and this is one basic rules we've learnt (and trust me, we've learnt it the hard way)... if we're not able to keep things "descent", every party we throw is goin' to be stopped prematurely by eather the cops ore some hotheads looking for some action.

so before occupying ourselves with line-ups and timetables, we should maybe take a look at the bigger picture, don't you think?

your right , but who can take care of security...?? does the people of the skwatt agree with a security policy?? I d say lets call some REAL security guy, lets pay dem and that it, but once again where to find the money.... :) but change the location is almost impossible, we dont have that much party places in Brussels, even more when its about electronic music, the renters are afraid of the public of the troubles that can happen, and you have to pay a LOT to rent a small room...  but if u have an idea its welcome of course... I dont think we should change the location, but we should try to mek it better off course... 

if the idea is tho throw squat-parties, then your choice of day is completely wrong. on a thursday-night, you don't attrakt ppl who tend to go to squat-parties... on a thursday night you aim to attrakt students. you don't want students on your squatparty. period.

guh ??? no student ?? whatisdisabout ?? discrimination ?? Look at me, i'm a student, i'm on ebel, i'm a fine guy :p I can't come anyway but still, that's mean... 

man, READ the thread before rediculising yourself

I read it, i'm not rediculising myself, i'm asking you why you are saying " on a thursday night you aim to attrakt students. you don't want students on your squatparty". ok, it's about changing the day, but the day in itself is not such a problem, last year all ebel parties took place on thursdays. SeemsI went a bit too fast, but the real problem you're talking about was the audience you got on thursdays : students... Is this because they brought trouble to the party ? I don't think you should ban a whole group because of one or two assholes... I think that's more ridiculous than me trying to find the point in your statement man...

1: the way it go is the way YOU go. Please, if you recommand some ideas, ASSUME and ORGANIZE them. eBel is a community, not a suggestion box.

2: I need someone to help me for building line-up. Who can take care of this ? I am very busy, im changing of habitation and still have 3 website to finish when im not at my office, a bit too much.

3: I repeat, i dont want suggestion, everybody can make suggestions. I want FULL solutions. Thanks to take care of not starting again the same error as the past years !

i'm not saying i don't wan't students. i'm saying that if you're into organising a squatparty, your targetting audience ain't students. i'm also saying that when you're organising on a thursday, you're main aim is students. so i was merely pointing out that there's an incompatibility there.
