i've found this tread
on the computer magazine site. It's about how to automate a series of action in live. For exemple, you press one little key on your controller then you mute the track, arm another, select the next clip,...what you want. I've try on my laptop and it's work perfectly. now i can record some guitar loop, play them on a different track, move to the next scene with only one key ! tricky isn't it ? For PC users, u have to dl a small soft called MidiYoke NT. it create some virtual midi port allowing you to loopback your midi out from a midi track containing some 'macro clip' and then assign one parameter you want per note play in your 'macroclip'. 8o . Mac users have to check the IAC or around. you can store your 'macroclip' and just recall when you want. however one thing escape. how do you control for example the cutoff and the dry/wet of a filter vst with one single knob ? if someone can help me ? ...---... ?

It's possible with an app like Midi OX. Or with live 6 :)

In live 6 macro's are fully integrated.

in live 5 you can't do this in the program itself and you'll need something like MidiYoke, which acts as a virtal midi port. I found it a bit of a hassle to do this and it is not straightforward.

try to do a search for Bome Midi Translator, that allows midi infromation to be turned into keystrokes and vice versa;

its what kid beyond uses for his live performances, and seems to work verry well.

but I haven' t tried that one...

alos Plogue Bidule lets you remap midi messages (next to a tonload of other stuff) but is more complex to set up...

(check out the kid beyond video: http://www.ableton.com/pages/movies/movies?type=artists)

hope this helps...

in fact not really cuz i've read a lot of thing on the net on this.

What i really want to do is to send the midi data of the controller n°74 to three others controllers n°75,76,77

for exemple. Is there a way with opening a reaktor vst in a ableton midi track ? like building up instrument who only receive the signal from the midi yoke 1 port, transform it and send three signals to three different number of controllers. It's possible ?
