General discussionA new law is beeing aproved at the USA, in witch they say that the only way to have right on something you create is to REGISTER it. (that means to pay money). Imagine that we have to pay money for each track we made... its crazy!!!! Artist are not known for beeing rich!!!!
Anyone now can stole our creations only because we have not registred it at one official institution! They have invented the Orphan Work term, means that if its not registred you loose all your rights, as the parents loose all right on an orphan children.
I think it could be better for protecting artists on electrobel, to switch off the download of tracks. Or make it avalaible only if the artist want that people can download his/her track. Because some one from the USA can now stole our work and be protected by his country laws and dont pay a shit for your work!!!! Please think about that MORE INFO,

Switch off download for everyone? We're still discussing if ANYONE can switch that off if they want too and STILL people aren't convinced. Hey, I'm a fan of disabling save but what you're saying might be a couple of hundred of bridges too far for most of the ebelians I assume.
still if u switch off the save button...everything that is played in flash on the internet can be easily put on your HD all u need is a little prog that does that

most people that are active in music listening and buying download music so they can check it and buy it afterwards downloading is only a threat for low kwality overpromoted one day - hits imo sharing music is a way of life artists these days make the monney with promo-stuff and concerts the way it should be imo... the baker has to sell his bread to he don't get payed to just bake it and spread the smell...
Yes but because of the SAVE button on electrobel, many good artist are not posting good tracks on electrobel... thats the bad side of electrobel, on myspace for exemple people are less scared, because is really harder to get the music copied.
u can always put a snippet on ebel... or put the song on ebel in a lower kwality rate... it al depends on ur purposes... if u only wanna promote music that's already released u shouldn't be on ebel I think, if u wanna work on tracks or get feedback and stuff than ebel is the right place to be... if u are not gonna share tracks caus they "might" get released...or becaus u don't ant people to "hear and have" them before u play out... that's kinda silly but ur own choice... and ofcourse if a track will be released in the future , and u don't share it... that's ok with me... and it shoul be with everyone... don't realy see the problem I don't "save" much unreleased music to my harddrive and if I do it's becaus I like it and I may release it lol so from my point of vew the "save" is what "saves" most artists caus ina single listening experience I would never recall a name or a track it's the visual experience of folders and files that makes something "real" =) so there's two sides to every story realy...
