If you like to DJing with Ableton's Live but also like to use Vinyls and CDs in your sets, you must try PushAndPull.
PushAndPull is a new software from Smartextensions that adds pitch bend functions and precise TEMPO correction to Live without using any kind of expensive hardware, allowing you to mix exactly than using a truntable or a pro cd player.

bah, it doesn't work!! when it supposed to bend, it just changes the tempo! i set my tempo on 130, and when i press bend up, the tempo changes to 128.6 and stays there. when i press bend down, it changes to 129 or 130.5, and stays there too. not satisfied==> all push-and-pull-files dropped in the bin 8(
Hi Guys, I did test the extension on many systems and believe me, it works, may be is a configuration problem.
Please tell me:
a) does the 4 pushandpull activity indicators light when you press the assigned keys?
b) did you assign TEMPO Map Mode to "Relative (lin. signed bit)"
c) did you assign TEMPO remote range to min=110 max=150?
Please help me to determine if this is a bug.
Thanks, Gustavo Bravetti
mik, first of all, thanks for helping me to solve a possible bug and my apologies for any inconvenience.
Could you tell me some info about your system? like:
Also please check:
In pushandpull, in Menu / "MIDI in" :check if just there is MIDI Joke NT:2 ticked In pushandpull, in Menu / "MIDI Out" :check if just there is MIDI Joke NT:1 ticked
Just for testing, In Live in Preferences, in MIDI sync tab, turn OFF all ports. Restart Live, then turn ON just:
Input / MIDI Joke NT:1 / REMOTE Output / MIDI Joke NT:2 / Track
Check how it works...
If it doesn't work, may I send you a debug tool so you can tell me a bit more about this issue?
Thanks in advanced, Gustavo Bravetti
mik, I found another guy with the same problem as yours.
He made a mistake configuring TEMPO Map Mode.
Please note that there are 10 options for Map Mode, 2 absolutes, and 8 relatives.
Please check if you have the correct one.
It is: relative (lin signed Bit)
Let me know how it goes, Gustavo Bravetti
Oops, sorry I didnt get back to you, but i couldnt test this weekend. Tonight is the day!! Will tell you if that works (would be great!!!)
