This Belgian projects has been signed on a new Belgian label devoted to d’n’b, acid and other electronic sonorities. This 12” is a pretty cool discovery covering different influences like acid filtered bleeps, astral atmospheres and great d’n’b parts. 6 songs with an impressive blend of ideas. I enjoyed the more into acid like “Joqav2” and the d’n’b of “Gtty” and “Dark acid”. Following the laid-back and beautiful "The Keening Dithers", Jay Fields come back with a new salvo of dancefloor-taylored tracks. Blurring his path, Exillon's not at it with a new breakcore record, though, and focus this time on pure acid tracks, enriched with his complex and very hi-fi brand of electronica. Quite fast-paced, clear and deadly-efficient, "A bit young for you" is something which club-goers are going to dance to for quite some time. Excellent.

Having just released a full album with Ad Noiseam here he comes with a full blast of Acid, Electro, Electronica, 2 Step D&B ... Starting off with some good acid grooves (fit well with the Acidwolf on Dirty Dancing), moving it into dark electro rhythms and even speeding up the tempo with this side's last track, a combination of 4/4 electro. Amen breaks, 2 Step, some bass action ... the B-Side kicks off with some heavy pressure before he turns everything back into dirty Acid and the mystical last track. These 6 tracks truly show the wide range of the Puzzling label so better get a copy before they are gone! Comes in a perfectly designed sleeve (full colour) with artwork spread over front and back ... so you might need 2 copies for your shelf. And the boys at Terminal Dusk once said: "Armed with two computers, he creates mayhem that others equipped with an armory of hardware and machines, fail to. Taking ten years of drumming, Exillon defines ambiance and aggression with cataclysmic swells and well placed intriquite rythms."

Now he brought together 6 remixers all featured here on this very hot plate, an Ex Nihilo / Puzzling co-production. Remixers: Fuck Uphner (the mastermind behind the Brussel based MeWe Le Disque label), Curser Miner (Lo, Mute) (UK bass and breaks monster), Eustachien (Component, M3rck) (Eustachien call their music "electronic infused nightmare ballads"), Mochipet (Taiwain born David Wang is surely known around the globe for his eclectic compositions featured on many labels such as Tigerbeat6, Detroit Underground, Schematic and his own Daly City records), ALF (belgian creator of rough and diverse breaks, debuted on Puzzling in 2004), Rony'n'Suzy (no info given). Etschaberry's "Annuit Coepmix" is a crazy, fast ride thru genres such as Acid, Electronica, Drill'n'Bass, Breakcore and much more ... its as diverse as the remixers!
