aai!
I'm searching for a good vst 'drumcomputer'. Suggestion? Anyone? (I'm not planning to make the sounds by myself with a synth - quite lazy at that point).
Euhm, I realised I've got a RMIV from Linplug. Just a little experimenting learned I already had everything I was looking for. So people who are looking for a good drummasjien ...
haai,
i mostly use Battery, quite nice if u ask me... unfortunately, a good snare is hard to find... nothing comparez to my hardware RX5 or DR660 drummachine in that sense.

That's because you don't have to find it but 'make' it. EQ/filters and compression can do a lot to a snare sample... use antares filter for example. Some fresuencies to the left some to the right and a big sound comes out the front :D
Spectrasonics Stylus is tha bomb! gazillions of loops + heaps upon heaps of single hits. + low cpu usage. Doesnt come cheap thou...299$ retail price for the 2nd version called "remix" you can even use your own rex-files in this new version.
Battery rules big-time but not cheap so...
on THIS SITE are some nifty little drum-masjiens, vst, downloadable for FREE especially the Zapkit (lo-fi 80's like sound) and Freedrum are nice
or THIS SITE download Twitch for FREE, a bit more work this one but you can get all kinds of sounds from it , you can choose between a version including samples or one that loads your own waves (This one includes filter, disto, bitcrusher etc...)
