Expert Sleepers Meringue (19$) Short description: Meringue is a delay effect. Unlike most delays, the delay runs alternately forwards and backwards, rather than continually forwards. This simple difference produces some interesting and unusual effects, e.g. Delay echoes play alternately forwards and backwards.
The time between a note and its echo varies, depending on the location of the note in the delay buffer (unlike a normal delay, where the time between a note and its echo is constant). As youll see from the above, it can be useful to know where the current delay buffer write position and direction are, and for this reason Meringue features a large graphical overview of the sound in the delay buffer, and of the motion of the write position. Meringue has a filter/saturation section for creatively treating the sound.
The delay time and the filter LFO can be synced to the host applications tempo. The phase of the delay and the LFO can also be reset manually.

Not tested yet on my new PC if these plugins are working on it. Had majors bugs & compatibility issues on the previous one so I never really worked with it. But the cycling 74 plugins are still online on mag*
Thanks Dialekte. Some plugins on the MAC link you gave are working on both windows and mac plattforms, more freeware to test & maybe to love :)
good post... i use dblue glittch alot because you cab go from verry subtle to total randmoness. clip envelopes in ableton can also be used to get some glitchy sounds: play with sample offset, transpose, transient values... etc once you made some envelope you like you can replace the sample effecteb by it by simply fdragging another sample on the wave form

Ah Glitches, yes! I like it What i do sometimes: Take a piece of wave. Then import into wavelab. Drop the positionpointer just somewhere in the wave. Then select a very small region. move that piece somewhere in the wave and repeat this action several times.The wave is a bit fucked up, but great glitches will occur. You can make your own glitches in that way. very simple

By "unusual", understand, no so used by the most producers, and has glitching still is "unusual"... ;-)
