Anyone having any experience with a single-CDplayer from "Numark"? As those seem to be somewhat affordable opposed to others that are very expensive.

Hmm, i don't see why it won't work... you said add samples from cd, so i do it that way... i open the cd tray, i put the cd in, i close the cd tray ( by pushing the button under it or pushing a little bit the tray , depends my mood ), and then , i launch sound forge "extract audio data from cd", and i get the track i wanted to sample in my editor, then i just have to crop it the way i want, and TA-DAAAAA ! :)

Haaaa... ok ! should be more precise, then :) Btw, a computer works well :p But well, any CDJ-*00 can do the trick espescially CDJ-100s, it's really precise and has some built-in EFX...

Haaaa... ok ! should be more precise, then :) Btw, a computer works well :p But well, any CDJ-*00 can do the trick espescially CDJ-100s, it's really precise and has some built-in EFX... the cdj 100s is a bit nooby; those built in effects are very limited: zip (pitch shifting without changing the tempo), jet (filtermodulation) and a simple wah-wah-effect. you can't even change the balans between effect or original sound. like they say on the pioneer-site: ideal for bedroom-dj's (but then for the real uncreative bedroom-dj's, i think). i prefer the cdj1000mkII or the cdj800: the 1000 has 3 hot cues (just like sampling with a cd-player) and the cdj800 has instant return (each time u touch the scratch wheel, it goes immidiatly back to the saved cue-point==>scratching the cue-point without have to push the cue button over andover again to create cool scratch effects) the cdj100s can only save 1cue point, and u only can push the cue-button and trigger it, wich come very boring after using thate trick over and over again and my statement is still the same: for effects u need a separate effects-box (far more possibillities: cutting the sound when the delay is on, change the soundwith the eq while putting on a flanger, etc...), such like the efx500 of pioneer
