here's an interesting idea ...

why not use the existing community here and develop a sub-community .... making ebel grow at the same time ?

instead of throwing something on the side ?

not really promoting.

but i dislike side initiatives being launched here from someone who never put a song here. When he could develop something here.... instead of launching something on the side that will probably disapear in the coming year ....

It's not really publicity, and it's really not enemy territory, but...I'm fully behind what Zark says. I know the person who is making this collective is fully aware of other collectives in Belgium (Hi Benny!), so there is not a lot of use for newer and newer ones, when one centered lot would stand a lot stronger, not to mention more communication and so on and so on.

I remember a few months ago there was a similar post with a new collective stating to be the first 'net-label using creative commons' and throwing parties. Zark also stated that that was just a blatant lie/mistake; Electrobel has been around for years with the same working method.

And I mean...go to their site. It's just a chat board with 5 members at the moment. Just let them put their tracks on here!

Until recently i had some songs on Electrobel, you even commented on some. I have removed them since they will be released on an EP soon. So hold your horses there for just one second.

We started sparrowfall as a little meeting place for ambient artist, so it is NOT a place to host your songs or anything like that (some of the members are on electrobel aswell, and host their songs here)

So i'm a bit offended and shocked by the reactions here. I just wanted to let some people know that we are out there.

But if Electrobel stands for intollerance, you just might aswell delete my entire account at once ...

it doesn't stand for intollerance, it stands for unity.

It's just that it's not the first time someone tries to launch a side project, that gathers a couple of artists, then just dissapears because no one really thought about the amount of time these things take and the financial aspects either .. Then the community dissapears and everyone wasted their time, whereas that energy could have been used here to actually make something happen.

But thats just my point of view, it's not aimed at you, it's just a general thing.

I did think you uploaded tracks, but i wasn't sure (so many artists on here)...

But i'd be happy if you included a link to ebel on your site ^^

The project doesn't include any financial investments (for now) so we're not wasting anything ;) only some time ;)

I added a link on my Sirens Of Atlantis website. You're even above Sparrowfall (the alfabet turns out in your advantage ;) )

Also, feel free to register and post some sort of 'info post' about Electrobel :)
