Korg MS20 USB synth

Since I've bought the Korg legacy collection with the ms20 usb controlled synth evrything worked fine. If i started my Audio unit (or VST for win users) of my MS 20 I was able to turn every knob of the ms 20 and the cables with my extern MS 20 without assigning every knob first. Later on I've installed Ableton live 5.2 Registred it online and everything still worked fine. Now recently (I don't know why for what reason) I have to assign with ableton every knobof the MS20 before I can use them. I know if i re-install my software of Korg it will be ok. But then i have to re install korg collection twice First from my installlation cd rom and then the update. So is there another way to re-install these options that i can use all knobs and cables in realtime without pre assigning them Otherwise unfortunately I'll be forced to install and registrate twice.
