Now that ICZ songs are easily visible in the Muzik page,

the question arises wether to show ICZ songs to anonymous users (visitors) or not.

Personally i would hide them and allow them to appear using a special link .

what do you guys think ?

i don't know if it should be hidden but i think it should be clearer what ICZ is. we know it stands for in construction zone but an outside visitor doesn't. of course, when it's hidden from public, this problem is solved.

Actually, I'd like more comments on my ICZ stuff than on my finished stuff. I'll post something in ICZ here, just because I'm sort of stuck, or would like to know what people like about the track, so I know which parts to focus on. So the more people that can hear my ICZ stuff, the better.

It would be handy, if it's more clear what ICZ is exactly, because new visitors will probably not see the difference.

maybe create an ICZ section...

so that all icz appear in the same window, and u can add a small description above it, explaining what icz stands for...

imho this would be the easiest way to solve it ( hum, i off course don't know if its that easy for zark to create an extra section , still i think this would be very handy )

thats the way it used to be :) and it didn't work.

The logic i'm using here, is saying that most 'visitors' won't give comments on songs in construction The fact that they listen to incomplete songs is most probably bad for the global image of the site. Hiding them would therefore limit them to listening to complete songs. On the other hand, providing a link to show ICZ files would allow users that are looking for a particular song to find it.

But i agree about the info about ICZ. i'll add a hover text box on the section part of the muzik page:)

edit: i already did that :)

when you hover over ICZ it tells you that song is not finished yet ...

I Just have this gut feeling that the only valable advice or comments come from registered users. In order to avoid the ICZ section to become a shit-zone, where it is easy to give "anonymous" negative comment, I would hide from guests.

Personal opinion

Must admit, that i check out the ICZ zone more often now it is visible among the other songs!!

This is an old thread I think... I see ICZ are visible for unregistered people, and I think it should not be.

But my question is: How do you upload the next version of an "in construction" track? There is an "append mp3" option, but it seems to create a new song, am I wrong?

Is it possible to "replace" an ICZ mp3 by its new version or should I create a new ICZ track?
