I've been looking for a usb soundcard for my laptop. I need this sundcard to record guitar/bass... I thought of the ALESIS IO2, but apperently they don't make/deliver them anymore.. Anyway does anybody have a great idea?? (BTW check out www.thomann.de)
check the X-station of Novation, they have 3 versions: 25 - 49 & 61 keys i have the 25 one, great stuff, perfect with laptop.

M-Audio Fast Track USB Audio-Interface
Til now I'm fine with it. I use it to record Bass, Guitar and Voice.
But still the alesis you named seems to be better... It seems to have more possibilties. I guess therefore it's 50 Euros more expensive. Nevertheless the M-audio fits all my needs.
While checking for more... I found this one... which seems veeeery interresting to me!

Behringer BCA-2000 B-Control Audio

Nope ... bcf = motorized faders .... bca = audio card with a couple of midi controls. and then they have a dj one coming soon, much like the hercules dj console
I use m-audio usb audiophile together with a pre-amp from presonus (cheap AND good) to record bass and gitar. I don't think an audiocard can do the job as well as a preamp, but I could be wrong.
