I wonder why it often takes so long untill a song is 'authorized'... Are moderators checking every song before it goes online?

YEP
and sometimes we really don't know what the f***ing genre is of the song you uploaded so different moderators start moving it around fromone to another genre and nobody really authorises it... so don't be creative and make standard-sounding songs that are easy to label ;.)
