hi,

got Soundforge 6 but i think it' hasn't got the ability to erase fragments of the visualisation of a wav file.

In soundforge you can draw, but not erase like in graphic software where you take your "rubber"/gom/gomme and simply delete/efface lines of the wav graphic. Is there a tool who can do that? Would be very helpful to me.

don't know about soundforge 6, but in version 7 and 8 you can erase very little fragments of wav file, really really little :)

Try Samplitude or even Sequoia mate, if you can't do it with that program, you can't do it with any program ( this been said, it's a darn difficult boy to handle )... I'm sure drawing Waveforms is possible, coz' i've done it already...

This been said, i don't know what you mean by "ability to erase fragments of the VISUALISATION of a wav file". You do know that when you draw, you actually change your wav file i hope, it's not just the visualisation you're affecting!

why always do difficult,

use sx,

if taken the pencil,ya can draw cracks out of the sound,not that i've done it;

i think ,that starting with a good peace,is better;

but in some case,it can be done,like so much more,in there

pitching to chords,instead of 1 note,lol

split waves as rex,scrubbin the rex's or waves

why would i like to only change the visual of the wav file if it's not for changing the sound of it??? I want to draw and erase parts and small glitches of wav-files that don't really satisfy me. Thanks for the ideas, will try some out and let you know if i still need more ideas. If you still got ideas never mind posting them still.

reaman, I confirm that cool edit pro CALLED NOW ADOBE AUDITION 1.5 does that.

But... it's not easy to erase glitch like that. it could be very long if you have a lot of glitches, and the result coul be not satisfying, because you draw but you don't know which frequencies you're drawing. It's a solution, but sometimes it's better to just cut the bad part if it's short (not "audible"), or copy/paste from a good part...

In adobe you have also good noise/clic/pop/glitch reduction plugins

well, in soundforge you've got good glitch/clipremovers/filters as well, but i just wondered: i see a wavfile on my screen... can i take a "gomme" and delete the parts that are out of the regular wave?
