I already posted this one somewhere else. But because I didn't get an answer, I thought I'dd better start a new thread about it.
I'm also working with Reason running under Cubase SX. But I still have a little problem. I want to use the tb-303 that Rebirth has, but I don't know how to rewire it to cubase and then use it.
I understand that Rebirth can be ran under Reason? Do I need a certain version of Rebirth?
Another question... How long do you generally work on a drum pattern in Cubase or whatever? How did you learn it? Does anyone use samples for their drums?
I don't have rebirth so I can't test it ..
my advice would be to go to the devices menu and add rebirth to the device menu. if this doesn't work try (in reason) adding a rebirth interface and route this to a rewire channel ...
if all of this doesn't help, I would make a midi track in cubase that sends to an interaplication midi bus. then set rebirth to receive on this track ...
rebirth can easilly be linked with reason... You only have to create a rebirth input machine and to run a good version of rebirth (because some bad cracked version will not be recognised by reason)... And the link is done with rewire, it should be a way to direct link with cubase... But you can also save loops with rebirth and mix them with your tune in cubase... Fort the second question, it depends, generally i wrote very quickly variations, but after that i spend hours to equlize compress, set volumes... I learn by doing it, and listen carefully existant music, i use a lot of samples...
