I&I Relations is a social-cultural organization which organizes events all over the Flemish side of Belgium. Founded in 2006 by 2 students from Brussels. Pim Rose former student sound technician at RITS and Ben de Melker, a soon-to-be social-cultural worker at the ERASMUS hoge school, came together and started organizing parties which would bring people closer together. Today I&I Relations has already organized many parties in different cities all over the Flemish side of Belgium. And why stop at only one style of music? I&I is meant for everyone. From the slowest reggae bands to the hardest Breakcore sets, I&I Relations hopes on coming in contact with all sounds of the universe. Because of this I&I Relations has had many co-productions with different organizations from all over Belgium. Organizations as Breakcore Gives Me Wood, Shake It Easy, RSPCT, Bugklink, Mekitburn, Low Frequence,... but also artists as Venetian Snares, Bogdan Razcynski, Knifehandchop, Zion Train, Limewax, FFF... and many more have past the I&I revue. Since the beginning of I&I Relations the idea grew to organize benefits with social-cultural purposes. Now, after more then a year and a half work, the first edition will go through in 2008. More information will follow, but it looks massive! The benefits will have two main objectives. First and especially we want to be able to do our share in society by supporting the less fortuned. And second of all we want to be able to bring people together by using music as a method. Nowadays everybody listens to music, and that’s why we want to do something with it. By allowing to combine different kinds of music on our events we hope to be able to evolve the cultural insights of our visitors. And that they can build up the respect for others around them!

I&I Relations has a message. Instead of saying ‘you and I’ we say ‘I & I’ as a kind of reference to equality. You is represented as I because you are equal to me. I am You and You are me. So I say to you ‘I & I’ instead of ‘You & I’ because we are equals.
The center of the logo referse to the message of I&I Relations. It’s the center of everything, the point where we all are the same, where we are human, made from flesh and blood! We as indivuals all experience the same feelings and emotions throughout our lives.
The lines are symbol for the life we lead (lifelines). As you can see they all point towards other directions. This shows the fact that we are never the same, that everyone experiences and interprets life differently. You can also see that some lines are shorter than others. Here we point out the chances people have in life. The one much less than the other. Notice as well that the longer lines are further away from the center.
The cirkels are the steps we take in life. The first cirkel, vague in colour, refers to the so many vague steps that we have to take in life to fulfill our objectives. The second cirkel, more solid in colour, refers to our objectives we want to accomplish in life. For example: A pro has to be an amateur before he can become a pro.
If you look at the logo you can see how certain people don’t even have the chances to attain their objectives in life, and that other have passed far beyond the point of completing their lifegoals.

very good text about I and I, very emotional, could have added that this is ''I and I'' expression is comin from Marcus Garvey "the prophet" and from the rasta culture ^^ * ==> En fait, les rastas utilisent de préférence le " I " plutôt que tous les autres pronoms (you, me they, etc.) parce qu'ils considèrent que ces pronoms sont générateurs de divisions, tandis que I and I est facteur d'union, solidarisant les hommes entre eux sous la bienveillance de Jah, The most high (I). I and I signifie donc littéralement " Jah et moi ". Pour dire " tu " (you), un rasta aura tendance à dire " I and I brethren ". * sorry i (and i) got this only in french I continue to think this is not warm enough for a logo, but who cares ^^ big up les peys :p
