DBX has real good stereo compressors, and TL-AUDIO ( ivory series )

and if u really have a lot of cash to spend, you can get the holy grail....:AVALON

heheh yeah i know was thinbking of tl audio 5021, thats the max i would pay for it. max 700-800 dbx 266xl seemed nice but dunno why, tl audio seems better, quality and sound, is that true?

Personally, i prefer tl audio ( it's on my wishlist ^^)

I worked with it during my course as sound technician, and i loved it...

It's pretty easy to use, it has a good user interface,good sound quality and real cool knobs....

and off course it emulates valve technology wich is nice, you do hear it...

So yes, tl audio is real good, if i had the choice , I'd go for that...

i had a dbx once, it was good, but tl is better

I'd go for a combination of a DBX266xl for the colored pumping beats sound and a TC Electronic Triple-C (Stereo) for the general mix as this is a very transparent multiband compressor with some neat tricks...
