Greetings,
The Je m'en fish electronica contest in cooperation with Poppunt will be starting again for 2006, after which the contest will be every 2 years.
Both organisations agree that live electronica is not often a finalist in the traditional rock contests, of which Belgium has hundreds. This contest focusses on the live electronica artist mainly, but is also open to any other art form which can be loosely associated, be it audiovisual, graphical, ...
Some details of 2005:
A professional jury, consisiting of Dirk Da Davo (The Neon Judgement), Kurt Overbergh (Ancienne Belgique), Libelia De Splenter (Studio Brussel), and many others, chose breakbeat project 'Rollznoyce'. They will play live with us in the first part of 2006 in The Netherlands, UK, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, ...
Details for 2006:
-The finals will take place in Kultuurkaffee, Brussels
-The winner gets to join our collective, and will get a free day of studio time in Noisegate centre, for recording or mixing. If the winning project is not music, we will provide other benefits.
-After this, we will look into the possibility for producing a music CD or DVD. You will be offered a series of live sets. A small tour in the USA is also planned.
Send your work before the end of May to:

Well it's official, we're supported again by the Flemish government (VGC). I'll be looking around for some interesting gear to hand over to our finalists. Laptop bags, flightcases, DI boxes, maybe some real gear if I can get audio partners involved.
We'll be accepting work until the end of Lektrofest. We'll also provide a box for you to put your work in at Lektrofest. Feel free to PM me links, too.
Maybe you people can help me out
What kind of gear would a project always be happy to receive in this kind of contest? Note: I don't have thousands of euro for it :)

I'm thinking of doing that and ask around for any interested shops. Studio time + finished cd for the winner, cheques for second and third would be nice. But lord knows if they'd do it :)
