don't quite understand how it works ...

leds represent the next notes in a tonal chord ? or ?

lorsque tu appuies sur une de ces leds, cela émet une lumière, et c'est par "intuition" que la machine associe cette lumière à une note. Mais dire si cela est aléatoire ou pas, je ne sais pas.

bof, looks like crap to me...a design stunt or maybe sthg for the kids to play. Wouldnt call that the future...music creation by BRAINWAVES that is the future! :D

If this somehow becomes the standard in 50 years or so, then remind me to take the time-capsule so I can go back in time and delete this comment... :P

'bout them brainwaves.. on the downside: future musicians might need holes in their head for pluggin' in their recorder ;) . on the upside: it will be a lot easier recognizing fellow musicians! lol

music from brainwaves is so old fashioned... it was done almost fifty years ago.... ;)

Music From Brainwaves Not The First

I was really intrigued to read the Wired story, "Brain music: Not Much to Dance to" that you linked to in today's music digest (Thursday, March 27, 2003 "Truly Cerebral Music" . However, I was a little dismayed that both the story and your summary of it treated music made from brainwaves as a new phenomenon when American composer Alvin Lucier, who currently teaches at Wesleyan University, made music with brainwaves nearly 40 years ago using his own brainwaves as well as those of another major American avant-garde composer Pauline Oliveros. The resultant piece, Music for Solo Performer, has been recorded and is available on an LP from Lovely Music Ltd.

what they did is literally amplifying brainwaves (after transposing them within the audible frequency range).

i'm reading this book "Electronic and Experimental Music" by Thom Holmes that gives a both historic an technical overview of electronic music... realy intresting stuff. you'd be suprised how old some of this futuristic techniques are...
