taking insect sounds & do layer upon layer of effects on them can be very cool

don't you have an old AM-receiver? i always use that to make a whole lotta noiz (girlie loves those moments :))) and sample it afterwards ...

smartelectronix plugins are the shit for glitch sounds

look around on your desk. Tin cans, ashtrays, cables, pencils, ANYthing. Just record like 50 sounds, save the best, clean up the noise, cut m to tight sounds, adjust it's ADSR as needed. Anything but no fx. Compare the wavs with the wavs of clicks from soundbanks in your graphical editor. And than load m up in your program as if it were presets to adjust a little.

It's way much more fun if you make the sounds from scratch. Some editors also let you "determin" sounds in terms of lenght, harmonics, overtones, the fade. That's how I learn stuff every day.

crap is right... use everyday objects... I once made a track, recorded solely with keys, an empty beercan and 2 wooden sticks...

sample it, mash it up and ...blip blip ;)

dont make things harder then they are

,use a sample editor(sx-wavelab),take a non rhythmic sample,cut a part,stretch it,reverse it,and by stretching i dont mean extending,but in this case ,shorten the sample;

the choise of samp will determine your sound,so its a question of stumblin on something good;but since i told ya a bunch now,you are closer then ever,now just to have a spicy bit of a sample :D

since i'm not so well equipped to do my own field recordings properly i'll try the c'estqui method. I've been trying it a couple of times and came up with some cool bliips and glitches....
