DAT POLITICS
Here they are again, the “living proof that experimental music doesn’t have to have its head up its own arse” (Vice Magazine). And yes, with their third album for Chicks On Speed Records (and the sixth album in six years of existence) DAT politics are more fun and excitement than ever. With “Wow Twist” they finally capture the pure raw euphoria of their live sets and confront Glitch, Power Pop, Electronica and Punk on their most song-oriented and fresh album to date.
The french laptop trio make their album sound mature and pop, without affecting their taste for the playfull electronic odyssees and obviously, the eleven titles of 'Wow Twist' possess a new knack for perversely catchy hooks.
This time, DAT politics' joyous digital wonderment is often accompanied by the own vocals of Claude and Gaëtan whose lyrics blend gorgeous rock chorus and sci-fi themes put on furious casiotones and other spinning rhythms. Jostling conventions DAT politics succeeds with 'Wow Twist' to capture the best part of the wild euphoria contained in their renowned and remarkably energetic live shows
Wow Twist / Chicks On Speed Release Date: March 31, 2006

“One Day When Björk is elected intergalactic President, all records will sound like this” (NME)
“As children and DAT politics know, coming over simultaneously brilliant and immature is immensly gratifying” (The Wire)
“Like Black Francis, Aphex Twin and Kevin Shields, DAT politics know that sweet melody sounds best slathered in noise.” (NME)

'...entertaining those who hate me, cheering them up with a glance, acting just like nothing happened, i'll be a failure for all of their plans.....'
-pseudoharmlessness-
...The word 'ANTICRACY' (an - "tI - kr& - sE, from Greek anti- [against], and -kratos [strength, power] ) means 'power vacuum'. It also refers to a small early-Fifties secret society . The ANTICRATICS would gather on a regular basis for some strange rituals, even though there's no evidence of their current activity (or existence) nowadays. All of the information available was found on the 'Bulgarian Copybooks' (5 + 6).

JEROME HILL
Jerome got his turntables in 1990 after being inspired by the pirate radio sounds of London. In 1994 he hooked up with infamous London soundsystem "JIBA" and further developed his scratching and mixing style for which he has now become known.
A very versatile DJ, he is equally at home playing sets of techno, breaks, fat soul, hiphop, ragga, electro, old skool, house, comedy electronica or rock n roll, but more often than not, you'll hear a set geared towards the music policy of the night with influences and random party tracks thrown in the blender from most if not all of the above. He is resident DJ at UGLYFUNK club night now based in London and plays around the world in countries like Brazil, Spain, France, Poland, and Venezuela as well as up and down the UK. He managed Londons "Trackheads" and "Dragon Discs" record shops in Camden Town for 7 years and is now running his label Don't Recordings. Besides he is half of GROOVE ASYLUM, (the other half being Rob Stow) who featured on DONT001+002 and a host of other labels. Jerome is currently spreading his 'musical seed' across Brasil as part of his mission to keep discovering and promoting new, interesting and outlandish music. We witnessed him playing the tiles of the roof in Brasil and now you can witness him doing the same in Gent!
