As of late a whole lot of electrobel parties are taking place in Brussels. These have been a great success so far and opened up a whole lot of opportunities for many of us.

Unfortunately there are quite some folks who, like me, can't make it to Brussels most of the time. For some of these their worries are over.

I found a cafe in Ghent, de Studio, who is willing to host our parties. The Studio is located on de Blandijnberg (right across the faculty of languages), close to the Sint-Pietersplein, so it's very easy to reach. It is cozy if there are 40 to 50 people there, but can take a whole lot more people if needed. It has a nice soundsystem.

I'm thinking about doing a try-out on the 8th of November (though the week after is possible as well, if, and only if, a large majority of the people can't make it then). If this one goes well (ie: we fill the place) we can host parties there on a regular (say montly) basis.

I'm a student, so I don't have the funds to make a whole lot of traditional promo material, we'll have to rely on mouth to mouth for the first time, unless ofcourse you can make promo stuff on this short term.

Anyway: if you'd like to play that evening, please apply here. You don't have to be from Ghent (if you want to come down from Brussels or Antwerp or whatever, you're more than welcome), but as obvious, I want to give new people an opportunity here. Also list what kind of stuff you need to do your live show. All kinds of lives are cool with me: a dj set, a 'press play in winamp' or an ableton set, whatever you are cool with. It's a platform to promote ebel and give artists a chance to perform live, and show themselves, without too much pressure.

I have the feeling I forgot to mention something here, so if you have questions, please post them, or send me a pm.

Regards

Kyran

Ghent is rather full of students, you don't want to play there in a weekend, it's rather emptied.

Thought there were quite a couple of people from Ghent here also.

Like jemenfish says: during the weekend, there aren't a lot of students in ghent, so it's a bigger risk. This first gig should go very well, we really want o fill this place.

If the parties are a huge succes, I will most certainly try to place one during the weekend.

I plan on starting it at 8 or 9pm, depending on how many people want to play. And yeah: free entry offcourse.

I do hope there are some artists who can do weekdays...
