Psy Trance = Psychedelic Trance. It's NOT the same as goa trance. It has a less "eastern" feeling, less "folkloric" melodies.

And by Cheap tunes I suppose Davias means chiptunes. Chiptunes are made with not only the "music" purpose, but also as a very very little small files. Just like demo groups compete on 64k intro, some used to compete (and still do) on making the smallest modules possible.

aaah :) commode64 style :) well the littlemonkey is a chiptune :) it's in electropop though because of the influence .. but chiptunes should go in electronica ..

Well, effectively Cheap tune is chiptune :-) thanx for correcting me Mik. and psy-trance came from goa at the base, but now in 2003 listen to a psy-trance track and you'll see it's totaly different of goa, for exemple "have a mushroom" from gagrene project is not goa at all... but more psy-trance... there less less melody in psy-trance, a lot of noise et fx, and always the same big sub-bass... it's a new style :-) if I had to recommend a representative and good (because there a lot of bad psy-trance I think) artist, it's Logic Bomb. garage is derivated from drum n bass, but is less speed n agressive, example Sonique or artfull dodger (as seen on mtv :-)) make some garage music, but there is also good garage so it can be usefull to add this style. For noize, I don't think it is same as IDM, listen to Mika Vaïno tracks and you see that people make noiz only tunes, no rythmic, no melodies, no structures, no changes, only noise :-) ha and it could be usefull to add "HardTrance" style too... Because when I listen to trance tracks here, it's too close of vlaams dance... So I think I don't Know what is real trance, beacause all here are thinking this is normal... SO maybe I listen HardTrance and think it's trance... and also, when you (yes you ZARk :-)) listen to new tunes for accepting it, you can say if the tune is miss-classed... By example, my dark autro matrik, I've put it in electro, but i'm not sure... You may write a little explanation over each style (if you had time) when we click on a style, the explanation appears at top of page...

well we had Hard Trance and Hard House but removed them because it's just too close to Trance and House .. otherwise the list of styles would become too big and loose it's interest. and people who listen to noise also listen to Experimental .. so i think it's better in there. and stuff close to 'vlaamse dance' can go in the Dance department ...

The Style isn't as much to describe the song, but help the listener discover new things based on what he already knows ... If you make too many categories they'll just stick to what they know most of the time ... Feel free to mention anything you want about the style of your song in the DESCRIPTION .. it's there for that .... and remember, users can search songs based on words used in the description ....

ha okay, I'm agree for the 'Hard' adjective, it is not very important... And for noise, i don't think anybody here make noize in all case... but I think psy-trance can be interresting as it is very different of goa (it looks like fast and organic techno for me :-) ) and it is unknown by the majority of populace. and garage is also a little style but it as it's own feeling, and drum n bass is not garage, so it can be usefull too. Ha and I didn't know that description is used in search, nice job, this is complete ;-) But I have to said that acid category is not well defind as hard... you can have acid house, acid trance, acid jungle...

like i said, it just defines what u think is the main influence in your song ... you could post a song in acid that has a dnb beat to it but really has a more 'acid' influence because of the other elements around it ...

haaa, okay... So the best thing to do is to write a good description... Otherwise visitors can be lost.

Another thing, once day, I think I've seen electrobel website in black, is it possible, or I had dreaming ? :-)
