Hi guys,

It's a long time i've posted something on ebel. Unfortunately with bad news. Two weeks ago on Mish Mash -StuBru- they played a copied song of me. I've mailed to Stubru for asking the playlist of Starsky and Tonic because they played the record at about 20.30 They didn't gave me the playlist. So as long as i don't know which artist or track it is that's been ripped I won't put new songs on ebel. This track was never been on Electrobel(nothing to blame on ebel or the community" It was on www.worldinvaders.com a few years ago. I'm shure it's stolen but don't know any artist or title. Maybe in the future i will take everything of ebel, but ebel has also been my "jump" to an higher level. So it's difficult to quit with ebel. Greetz to everyone Hope they won't steal from ya

If they played my track it's ok But it's a released track (so it's copied) They've copied the first two patterns and builded a new song around it and released it. I only heard it but can't prove anything if i don't know artist or title.

Does anyone know Starski and Tonic personal? If so can you ask which records they have played two fridays ago between 20.30 and 20.45

greetz that's the problem not if they would use my track released on ebel

too bad i love ebel

i know tonic from gent,been a while i 've seen him...

i know they stole the other part....starsky(i stole it tooo)from me,it was planned for our dj duo like sparky and blush.....

i guess they modified it to their taste,in negative way :D

about your issue....coulde'nt it be,you think they stole it,may be you stole it,without beeing aware of it;

sometimes i make melo's,thinkin i found it,then you let it hear,and peop say,hey ise'nt that .....

i once heared,that commercial bitch(cant recall the name)stole a trump part from me;

or was it vice versa....

my advice is,grow over it,stop atracting attention by deleting your stuff(i woulde'nt care less)

what i care about,is respect and honor;

so it isen't very honorable from tonic,if he did it;there ya have my support;

become member of Sabam (or another protector) and once u know who stole it, sue him/her/them... (i know, easier said than done, but remember the madonna-issue)

or else, only put your worst songz online... :O

You're actually complaining you got airtime on national radio?

If you're in Sabam you'll see a minor royalty flow in (it's not in rotation). IF you're not in Sabam and you put your tracks online somewhere like Electrobel, I'd think one of your aims would be to get airplay.

How could they even ask your permission? Was your telephone number, real name, all possible surnames, AND links to all your songs listed? Even if they were, do you think national radio is going to phone each artist on purpose?

Really, people are battling it out to get a track played in 'Demopoll', you can't be serious you have issues with actually giving you airplay? 8o If it was already your track to begin with.

And Sabam...if you write your tracks in today, you weren't protected when it was played. And even then, they just make sure the money a radio pays goes to you at the end of the year. They're not going to support a complaint about getting a tune played on the radio, regardless. What would be the point? OMFG, REKNOWN DJ'S DIG MY STUFF, MUST...SUE... :P

The playlist online is optional. Some of them fill it in, some don't. You probably won't see it pop up if it isn't online. If you have legal issues, contact their post-production service or whatnot...they have people for that kind of thing. So long as your work was released legally and through Sabam (Or Stemra, or whatever), you'll see some money for it.

Try to take it as a compliment to see some positive in it, at least it was deemed good enough to be played on national radio...but make sure you kick the guys ass who stole it from you :)

Totally off topic: I had the same problem with my thesis, some guy totally stole it and is making money on my ideas. 8( It hurts and it sucks! But what the heck, I'm still one happy pappy :)

i GUESS you guys misunderstood me

I never claimed that starsky and tonic stole something from me. They just played a record with melodies of mine and two patterns. Offcourse i should be glad to get some airtime on national radio. BUT NOT WHEN IT'S STOLEN

Strekie: I know what you mean, but i don't think it's fun either when they rip ya song, not just playing my track (for that i would be glad) We guys live in a single room with technical shit and whatever Is it right to steal and walk away with the credits and money (for the third time Starsky and Tonic didn't steal anything, they've just played a track which i want to know the artist or title that's all. About sabam. I'm not a member of Sabam and i don't think it's necessary because i write a "aangetekende" letter to myself without opening the enveloppe. So you can be protected without Sabam

Cestqui: I know what music and melo's i make Sometimes i start making a track and hear some familiar melo's or sound. Then i quit making the track coz it's not mine The track i'm talking about was made in 1999 and released on the worldinvaders website (i was member untill 2003)

I don't care is they play a track of me but not when i pay a lot of money and time making my track so other people can walk away with credits.

I hope you guys know what i mean.

Ok i should be glad. But would you if you work come home, work on music and then being ripped. I don't know

to end this Conclusion :Play as much tracks if you want, but if you rip and start making vinyl of a track that isn't yours, it's not nice (this is an understatement)
