NI fm8 & massive
General discussioncheck these two new instruments of Native Instruments.
The FM8 is the upgrade of the fantastic FM7 but with massive add-ons sequencer - effects racks. The sound blow you off your chair !!!! The MASSIVE is the new synth you can't compare it to an other Vsti, it's the virtual synth that sounds the closest to a hardware VA synth or maybe analogue synth i know. Amazing piece of software !!!! Of course the price of 299€ each isn't for every fan, but please download the demo - it's fantastic too because you can play 30 minutes non stop without drops or noises !!!!! You cannot save your sounds but with 960 FM8 presets and 420 for Massive you can have quiet a great playtime. I play them in Live and write the instrumentnames down to remember which sound i used before saving my song et voilà.
It's really too close to a good old analogue synth with only about 1400 presets available :D :D ok, that switch off every 30 minutes, but what a pleasure !!!!
