Plaid Dat het innovatieve Britse label Warp elektronica klasbakken releast zoals Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Clark en Boards Of Canada is allang geweten. Samen met de VK* zet de Beursschouwburg in op Plaid, nog zo een eigenzinnig raspaard uit de Warp-stal. Als opvolger voor de indrukwekkende albums Not for Threes en Double Figure liet het Plaid-duo Ed Handley en Andy Turner vorig jaar hun ambitieuze meesterwerk Greedy Baby los op de wereld. Het dvd-album is het resultaat van jaren sleutelwerk en een samenwerking met videokunstenaar Bob Jaroc, die de fascinerende animaties voor zijn rekening nam. De knetterende IDM van Plaid, vergezeld door de onafscheidelijke bellen en harpen, klinkt straffer dan ooit.

De concert avec le VK*, le Beursschouwburg mise sur Plaid, autre pur-sang obstiné des écuries Warp. L'an dernier, pour faire suite à ses impressionnants albums Not for Threes et Double Figure, le duo Plaid formé par Ed Handley et Andy Turner a gratifié le monde de son ambitieux chef-d'oeuvre Greedy Baby. Le dvd-album est le résultat d'années de travail de bricolage en collaboration avec le vidéaste Bob Jaroc, auteur des animations fascinantes. L'IDM de Plaid, pleine d'atmosphère et pourvue de ses inséparables sonnettes et harpes, est plus forte que jamais.

Lowdjo started out spinning vinyl some years ago and does not limit himself to one genre, making him one of the most eklektik dj's in Belgium. Expanding his view on music over the years - next to electronics like elektro, jungle, breakcore, techno, hardcore, dubstep, grime and many other (mutant) genres, he also has a big collection of (free)jazz, postrock, ambient, ragga, psychedelica, noise, droons, psychfolk, postpunk, free rock and even balkan-tunes.

Lowdjo played together with many belgian and international artists at different places throughout Europe (Germany, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Netherlands, Belgium) and the States (Chicago). Some people saw him playing atmospheric sounds at chill outs, photo exhibitions or art spaces, others where bombed with beats at underground parties. You name it Lowdjo spins it! ... or as the king of ultraviolence 'Antz' once said: "Lowdjo imposes his octopus-like musical tastes on the turntables: minimal electronica, avant-rock, hardcore, Balkan music and a lot more are turned into a seamless mix, aimed at the dancefloor. Those who sit still during his set must have had their legs amputated".
