Moderator's Handbook or: how to disarm a bomb with a hareng.

• A valid song has :

  • a normal title
  • a description in english
  • no copyrighted material in the music.

• Any song that doesn't respect the forementioned validity must be blocked and a message sent to the user. (don't write too much in the block reason, just a summary, and put the whole text in the pm).

• Songs with titles like " XXX - YYY " where the artist wants to specify that XXX is another one of this projects ... invite the user to create a group XXX and post the song under that group name. (groups can be added in MY WORLD MY GROUPS).

• On your moderators page, you only see tracks that are in the styles you are managing. but you have a feature to "see all songs" that are pending, this is done so that tracks don't pend for ages. and other moderators can see the situation.

• Do not authorize tracks that aren't in your style, unless invited to do so, or if you see tracks that have waited a long time, and that no notes are on the song explaining the situation. I have a log of every action you take as a moderator. When you do something you're not supposed to, it displays in RED :) don't you think i don't know what you doin' ;)

• You can put notes either on an artist or on a track. Putting notes is a way of telling other moderators what is going on with a song or an artist. Only moderators can see notes. Moderators cannot see notes that have been put on themselves.

• On the moderators page, you have a list of the last X comments put on songs in the genres you moderate. Please have a quick look thru them oncei n a while and look for :

• comments that are not in english
• insultive comments In either case, it's your moderator job to contact the author and delete the comment.

• The computer will delay songs from users who post many songs at once. you don't have to worry about that, just authorize them.

okay, i'm writing this as i go along, hope it's all clear. Any other points i should mention ?
