Friday the third of November, there will be some spots for electrobel on the Langweiligkeit festival in The Netherlands. This would be a fine chance to meet the first users on electrobel.nl and to put the Dutch part of the site in the spotlight a bit in that country.
Langweiligkeit will be taking place all over the city of Den Haag.
Here is a gallery page of one of the first editions http://www.dmd.nu/langweiligkeit/gal/index.html
At the moment, they think 5 live sets would be feasible; This is of course in light of the budget allocated to the festival. These live sets are paid, and I calculated it out and even if every live set would drive with their own car from Brussels and back, you still have some budget for your pocket :D But I would still suggest carpooling.
It's not entirely clear where electrobel will play, so far there are 10 locations confirmed.
The 2004 edition was the most succesful, with 10.000 visitors; 2005 had some financial restraints and was normally cancelled, but still happened last minute and attracted some 5000 people.
So...put your name here if you are interested
I would be interested in playing !!!
I can do dub/electro/industrial
Though it would be a dj set of my stuff...(should be no problem )
Let me know !!! 8)
What styles are the most welcome for that festival? Doesnt seem like drum and bass would be most appealing.
Last year we had Rollznoyce (Breakbeat-electro), Eega X (Electro & dnb), Foochow (Techtrance) and Wixel (IDM, experimental electronica). From what I heard the crowd liked the more up-tempo stuff. But of course, the later the better. It probably starts at something like 14h, so no use putting D'n'b at 14 is there :)
I don't know for the styles; I work together with them in 4 weeks, so anyone that wants to play just put yourself here and I'll have a look at it all before then and I'll ask him to choose if he has the time.
Really, a mix of styles is ok; You play on the same day as my artists and they're all totally different.
i would also be interested. no dj set no pushing play in ableton or frooty set a real live :p
