*** Make music like the 90's **
Hard challenge, but could be fun ... make music that sounds like it was made in the 80/90's ... i'm still a fan of technotronic and other technopop songs :) and have Patrick De Meyer as jury to select the winning song. (he's belgian and was in lots of different project of that style ... amongst others, Technotronic)
artists : Snap! 2 Unlimited Culture Beat Dr Alban Corona Cappella Haddaway
But also the 'jungle' branch, so .. old prodigy, etc...
so it's not limited to technopop, but to any of those "vintage" styles that influenced today's electronic music.
So you can make Tangerine style music, or some old skool hardcore, etc...
what do you think ?
edit: so yes it's very open, and subjective contest :)
but i don't really like "samplepack" contests ...

i think so too because
1/ It will help develop music making skills 2/ It will need a bit of research for some 3/ it'll be open to practically anyone 4/ It'll have different genres, and allow you to find new things you never heard before 5/ It's not a very common 'typical contest' 6/ did i mention it didn't use stupid sample packs that limit creativity ?
on the other hand, i doubt receiving more than 10 songs :)
Well, about the number of entries, it always depend on the carot, not the contest itself imo..
