contract advise...
General discussionhello, is there anyone who can help me evaluate a music contract? I can release an EP at a record label from zurich. they're going to send me a contract, but I can read all those weird sentences without getting what's REALLY behind the words... it would be nice if someone who knows about this, would help me out to see if the contract is good... cheers, peter

yes poppunt can do that i think, and if they don't i'd really read every sentence very carefully, to see if you can really trust them (you won't go to zurich if they do something wrong won't you).Maybe you know someone who studied law (rechten?) at school, that might help as well.Ciao +
Poppunt can have a look but you're right before muzikantendag so they might be busy. Give a ring on 02/504.99.00 and ask for Tijs or legal advice and stipulate each point you have doubts about clearly.
Since it comes from Zurich my guess is it might be French so you could ask their French counterpart (cort circuit? What's it called again?)

I spoke with someone who owns a label for 4 years, and he's going to read through everything with me. so I guess this will do fine.. and if I have any other questions, I'll follow your suggestions above... anyway I'm very excited!! this would be a platform for playing in clubs all around europe.. hehe
