Using RM1x live
Help neededI'm thinking about buying a RM1x to control my Korg electribe r and my roland sh-32 synth during live performances. But i encountered two possible problems when i was reading reviews.
Some users say there's an OS problem that sends program changes to your other devices.
Other users said there's not enough free memory to be able to play live sets.
I want to be able to put my songs in midi format on disk and load them in the RM1x to play them live.
Are there others that use it live? Do you have any problems?

I played a lot of times with my rmx live But never with a computer I encountered some problems to a time ago about what you've said about program changes. I don't know if it is for pc the same way but u can set some midi change options if you power your rm1x,press 3 times the white utility button There you see a midi filter and can you set the midi in and out program change and more. than you have to set your other hardware like eg your roland sh-32 Look in your manual to switch off the program change of your roland and other hardware you don't want to program change. Imo it's good to make a midi file of an rm1x song and import it in a sequencing prog. But the other way wouldn't be interesting imo. Never tried it can't help you on that
a couple of years ago I bought one and we used it live for a while, (don't expect anything from it's digital sounds though) but as a hardware sequencer it's safe. it'l work. Wouldn't pay to much for it. It's probably also good fun to compose on the thing itself cause once you've got the menu's in your fingertips it leads fast to results with enough time to tweak other more usefull and 'soundfull' knobs on your hardware. My adviceprice ain't exceding the 125 euro.

all knobs, are fully assignable (midi-wise) at your own preference, so no need for those (often very unlogic) midi-controllers you find 'round lately
my advice would deffinately be yes
