Do we have one already for 2008? Don't think so neither so here goes:

VST:

  1. Effectrix (this is like dblue glitch with the possibility to stack all the effects UPON eachother)
  2. Camelspace
  3. Dreamverb (UAD)

VSTI:

  1. Zebra 2
  2. Gladiator
  3. Massive (still alltime no. uno for me)

to be honest I only use the vst's from FLStudio... The only one I've been using this year is Ferox****VST vintage tape modeller plugin  Gives your synth an extra edge imho, I'm really fond of it!

besides that i mainly use ableton plugins nowadays, although i'm thinking about using zebra, anyone knows some good basic tutorials for the zebra?

I feel that this synth really explains itself. What you can do is just use one oscillator and experiment with it's settings (and the oscfx), then maybe add a filter and mess around with that. The best patches I've made on that synth only use one or two modules (although you can really go nuts if you want to)
